ABOUT ME

Meg face.jpg

After a challenging period in my own adolescence I went on to spend over ten years working with people who are homeless. I worked in a number of settings including hostels, drop in centres and street outreach.

I work three days per week for Adoption UK and a one day for a fostering agency where

I offer training, trauma informed parenting groups, and counselling to teens and the adults who love them.

I work one day per week in private practice seeing adults, teens and families. All of my work is heavily informed by DDP principles along with the studies I've completed in attachment theory under Patricia Crittenden.

I spend the rest of my time parenting, trying (but mostly failing) to grow vegetables, getting muddy on Dartmoor and clean in the river Dart.

I believe passionately that everyone should have a supportive, non-judgemental, attentive companion through life’s ups and downs. I have been lucky enough to have such allies, and I would like to offer this support to others.

I am a UKCP accredited and BACP registered psychotherapist. I am also currently a Practitioner becoming certified in DDP. I graduated with an MA in Mindfulness Based Psychotherapy from The Karuna Institute in 2018. I have a Post Graduate Diploma in the Therapeutic Application of the Arts from The Institute for Arts in Therapy and Education
